MEC Leitor de cartão: A Convenient Tool for Teachers

MEC Leitor de cartão is an Android application developed by CAEd UFJF. It is designed specifically for teachers who want to input student responses in the Diagnostic and Formative Assessments conducted by the Ministry of Education in partnership with the Center for Public Policy and Education Evaluation at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (CAEd/UFJF). This app provides an easy and fast way for teachers to capture the necessary information for result calculation by simply taking a photo of the student's answer card, eliminating the need for manual data entry.

To use the MEC Leitor de cartão app, teachers must be registered and affiliated with the schools they work in on the Diagnostic and Formative Assessments Platform. They also need to have their classes and respective students registered. The app gives teachers the flexibility to choose whether to input responses through the app or via the platform. Its goal is to simplify the data recording process and encourage assessments to reach a greater number of students across Brazil.
